Many regional and state archives are based in Berlin and therefore provide an enormous source from which to find out information about our relatives and forefathers.

We offer you:
1.) Research in the Evangelischen Zentralarchiv Berlin (EZAB) http://www.ezab.de/
-  Church records from the state of Brandenburg are accessible here on microfilm which makes a meta-search simultaneously through different parishes possible.
-  Churches from Protestant parishes in Berlin are also accessible on film.
-  and last but not least the church records from East Prussia, West Prussia, Posen, Silesia and Brandenburg
-  Certified copies of the entries are also possible
-  The most likely parish of the person being researched can be found using their address
- Retention periods: weddings older than 70 years, baptisms older than 90 years and deaths older than 10 years are publicly accessible.

2.)  Research/ obtaining of certificates in the registry offices of Berlin and Brandenburg
-  Retention periods: marriages older than 80 years, births older than 110 years and deaths older than 30 years are publicly accessible
- The registry office records begin in the year 1874

3.)  Research in Catholic parishes of Berlin and Brandenburg
